RASNZ Dark Sky Workshop - 7 May 2020, Wellington, NZ

Building on from the successful October 2019 Starlight Conference in Lake Tekapo, the Dark Sky Workshop will consist of short talks on relevant key local and international dark sky updates and discussion/demonstration on topics such as sky quality measurements and dark sky friendly lighting.

The Workshop is also expected to provide networking opportunities for participants from current and aspiring dark sky places and dark sky interested RASNZ Conference attendees.

IMPORTANT NOTICE – From 1 October 2019, visitors to New Zealand must have a valid visa or an NZeTA!



The New Zealand Starlight Conference in Tekapo, New Zealand was held 20th to 23rd October 2019.

This conference was hosted by the Aoraki Mackenzie International Dark Sky Reserve (AMIDSR) in Tekapo, New Zealand which was awarded the International Dark-Sky Association (IDA) Dark Sky Place of the Year 2018.

Tekapo is situated in the South Island of New Zealand, within the Aoraki-Mackenzie International Dark Sky Reserve.
